PIL Moot Court Competition 2011-2012

Just recently, this year's Public International Law Moot Court Competition (Semifinals and finals) was held. Our section was one of the participants as the class was able to win its way to the semi-finals. There were five other participants albeit I am not really sure which of the sophomore sections successfully reached this round. Sadly, 2J, our section, never made it to the finals. We had a face-off round with section 2B, which bagged the first place.

We took the stand of the respondents and of course section 2B was for the applicants. As we witnessed how the competition went, a classmate leaned and whispered to me, "Ang hirap pala 'no?" I had to admit that yes, it was hard to compete. So this blog's primary purpose is to appreciate our oralists, Ms. Sheign and Mr. Chrys for doing a really great job. This is also to thank Ms. Caela, Ms. Vanessa, andMr. Lyndon for working their brains out to help the section the best way they possibly could. Of course, the whole class should be acknowledged for rendering an awesome group effort. We all knew that every one had sooooo many things to do--cases to digest, articles to memorize, assignments to read plus the fact that that finals week is nearing. But we all also knew and understood that the only possible way to make it through was to work together. And I am proud that we did work together.

In view of the competition the Saturday classes were suspended. However, attendance was a must. Especially during the finals.
