Something Blue

Candy Nails

Hey ladies! Well, I can almost hear school saying 'Ola!' In my case, classes are to start on the 13th of June. My brain will start to involve RAs, articles, cases and the never-ending issue on the QPI in my blogs in the coming weeks. But for now here is something you can personally do as it is easy, interesting and fun. You can do this in less than 1.5 hours if you are used to applying polish on your nails. If not, you might have to perform some redos here and there. Or you can do this as a group, say, with your friends. You can ask your girl friend to apply the polish for you and if she needs your help, return the favor. Let's make your nails look yummy!!!

Mustard

This blog entry constitutes a short outfit post.

I am currently, particularly in love with mustard-colored clothing. I got a mustard-colored top. A mustard-colored high-wait shorts. And now this.

What I wore yesterday, May 20, 2012. It was Ryke's 4th birthday.
And by the way, my long lost cousin was there yesterday. Welcome home Louie! We certainly missed you. Glad to know you're going to be here for a couple of years. The cousins shall do a lot of catching up. ☺

Here's the sole photo taken at the photoboot: I and my cousins Louie and Ate Adrienne.

And Then He Kisses Me

He puts his cup down and reaches for the milk. And as he does so, his hand brushes against mine – and stops still. At once I feel my whole body stiffen. I can’t even blink, in case I break the spell.

OK, I’ll admit it – I kind of put my hand in his way. Just to see what would happen. I mean, he could easily move his hand back if he wanted to, couldn’t he? Pour his milk, make a joke, say good-night.

But he doesn’t. Very slowly, he closes his hand over mine.

Vintage Fashion

SO I stumbled upon Lala Magic and boy did I fell in love with everything you'd find there! First of all, I am thrilled by the fact that it caters to ladies who are into vintage fashion. Second, LACE + COLLARS all over! Third, everything (emphasis supplied) is charming. I was enamored with the entire idea. Bad side is one, Lala Magic is US-based, and two, each item is worth hamilton$. Oh dear!
Check these out:

This very pretty dress.

If I had this, I'd wear this in Law School.

Pretty. Everything. Pretty.

Falling in love now?

Definitely BEAUTIFUL.

That's all I'm sharing. You're all blessed, loves! ♡

Challenge ACCEPTED!

"Siya may kasalanan, siya maunang mag sorry!"  (She's at fault, she should be the first one to say sorry)

The famous lines of the alleged victim. She tells her story to people as she hopes to collect their sympathy. "Ang sama naman pala. Oo nga. Dapat siya magsorry, siya ang dapat sisihin!" (That's bad. I agree. She should say sorry, she's the one to be blamed) is what she wants to hear. It is what WE want to hear. And sometimes? What we choose to hear.

I was sitting on a chair, my hand catching my chin, and gaping at my reflection at the hotel's big window. The rest of the family was busy prepping up because we were about to leave to grab some Greek dinner. By the way, we were celebrating our parents' 27th wedding anniversary.
I was watching my father comb his hair when I asked me a question. "If the parents are at fault, should the children be the ones to initiate to say sorry and eradicate the gap?"

Make-Up 101

Good morning ladies! It's a beautiful day, isn't it? Now let's make it extra B-E-A-YOU-tiful. I posted the videos of some of my favorite vloggers. Since it is summertime I'm thinking we got a lotta time to try new things. I, myself, shall attempt to replicate their looks. Haha! ♡

How Do We Know God's Will?

This month's series is all about God's Will. I attended the 2 PM service with my family on April 29, 2012. I believe that many people need to hear last Sunday's message. So here I'm sharing some high lights. I have also provided a link to locate the podcast so that you may hear the entire preaching. This is life-changing if taken seriously and appropriately.

We are haunted by two extremes: One, finding God's will is difficult. Two, 'every' thing depends upon God's will.

Extreme #1 says that God is out there hiding His will. The more we search for it with difficulty, the happier He is. We have this belief that to know God's will, we have to go through a 40-day fasting, go up the mountains, or punish ourselves. Extreme #2 says that every single step we make, we have to consult God's will. Do I go to work today? Should I buy this?  Am I going to eat lunch? Each extreme belief is faulty. #1 is defective because God is not a cosmic kill joy and does not take delight in us having difficulty in finding His will. #2 is defective because when God created Man, He also intended to say "let there be common sense" too. But unfortunately, it is not common anymore. These two must be reconciled. It is wise that we meet in the middle and find a common ground.
